Apartment rental rates are competitive with comparable units available in the city.

All rates reflect unfurnished apartments.
Current tenants will be advised of their new rent rates before their existing lease expires, so that if you apply for a new lease you will know the future rent.
Income Tax Information
The University Apartments are property tax exempt, therefore, tenants are not eligible to claim the full amount of their rent as per CRA Guidelines. Tenants may claim an Ontario Energy and Property Tax Credit of $25 on Form ON-BEN. No receipt is required for this claim. Rent must be paid monthly and is due on the first day of the month. Once your payment has been processed an e-mail confirmation will be sent to your Western e-mail address.

If you already use your bank's web services, go to your banking website, log in and use the search word "Western" to find and add Western Univ - Apartments as a payee. The account number for your bill is your nine-digit student number (starting with either 25 or 00).
If you currently do not bank online, please contact a representative of your bank to register for this service. Please note that online banking payments sometimes take two to three business days to be received by our office.
Payments can be made through the myHousing Portal by logging in using your Western University credentials.
Please make your payments payable to The University of Western Ontario. Please include your name, building, unit number and student number on all bank drafts, money orders, certified cheques and personal cheques.
For your convenience, a series of post-dated cheques are accepted by the rental office.
Direct debit and credit card payments can be made at the Bayfield Hall Rental Office, Room 105 during office hours from Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays) 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
