Air Conditioning Removal Reminder
All portable and window air conditioning units must be removed and no longer in use by October 10–11 to help keep units properly insulated and heated during colder weather. If you have concerns about removal, please contact the Rental Office.
Keep the Heat In!
Apartment heating systems respond to outdoor temperatures and may not operate consistently during warmer periods. If you don't feel heat immediately, try adjusting your thermostat later in the evening when temperatures are cooler.
Platt’s Lane Apartment tenants: Ensure both panes of your apartment windows are fully closed to help keep heat inside your unit.
Motorcycle Parking
Motorcycles and other motorized vehicles must be parked only in designated vehicle parking spaces. Vehicles parked in unauthorized locations such as bicycle racks, lockers, entrances or common areas will be ticketed or towed at the owner’s expense.
Avoid University Heights Public School Grounds
Residents are asked to avoid using the University Heights Public School playground and grounds as a shortcut during school hours (Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.) and instead use public sidewalks and roadways, including Western Road, Ford Crescent, Fox Avenue and Coombs Avenue.
Community Trick-or-Treating - October 31
On Halloween evening (October 31), children and families will be out in the community trick-or-treating. If you'd like to participate, simply turn on your porch or exterior light and have individually wrapped candy ready to hand out to the costumed children. Please drive slowly and stay alert, as many children and families will be walking throughout the neighbourhood.
