Parking
A valid parking permit is required to park in any apartment lot. Permits are issued only for vehicles registered in the name of a tenant or a registered permanent occupant. All parking is governed by Western Parking Services.
Platt’s Lane Estates
Tenants with a personal vehicle may apply for a parking permit through the Rental Office. Each lease includes one complimentary permit for the Platt’s Lane parking lots.
Beaver & Ausable Halls
Each lease includes one complimentary parking permit for the Beaver/Ausable lot. Overflow parking is available at the Bayfield lot. Additional permits may be available for purchase.
Additional Vehicle Permits
One additional permit may be available for purchase per leases within Platt's Lane Estates, Beaver/Ausable Hall. Additional vehicle permits can be requested by emailing western.apartments@uwo.ca. Effective May 1, 2026, these permits are $350 plus HST for 12 months.
Bayfield Hall
Parking is not included in the lease. Tenants must purchase a student parking pass through Parking Services to park at Bayfield Hall or other student-designated lots.
Guest Parking
Temporary guest parking is available for purchase through Honk Mobile. To access Honk Mobile your guest must download the app, create an account, enter the appropriate Zone Code (1972) and select the duration then pay. Guest passes are not required outside of enforcement hours, effective Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Parking on weekends and holidays is complimentary. Guest parking rates are, $1.85 per half hour minimum plus $.35 transaction fee.
Improperly parked vehicles may be ticketed or towed at the owner's expense. Prepaying for a session on Honk Mobile before you park doesn't guarantee that a space will be available in the selected Honk zone. We recommend that once you have found a space to park, payment for your parking session can then be made on Honk Mobile.
Bike Storage
Full-sized bike lockers are available for rent on-site for a small fee ($10 per month). Free outdoor bike racks are also available and using a secure lock is strongly recommended. Bikes may also be stored inside your unit.
Parcels and Mail
The Rental Office does not accept or store parcels or mail. Tenants are responsible for coordinating deliveries directly with couriers.
- Delivery personnel may access buildings to deliver to units or mail areas.
- Please do not leave parcels unattended in lobbies or hallways.
- Parcels without a clearly marked apartment number may be returned to the sender.
- Food deliveries left in common areas may be discarded to prevent spoilage or pest issues.
- Requests to “leave at Rental Office” will not be accommodated.
Bayfield Hall (Only)
Parcels are delivered to parcel lockers on the north side of the building. Tenants will receive a barcode via Western email to retrieve their package. Some deliveries may still be made directly to your door. Roommates of tenants are encouraged to include the tenants name in the mailing address for ease of delivery.
Note: Food boxes are not delivered via parcel lockers.
Internet Services (Bayfield Hall Only)
