Congratulations on being offered an apartment at University Apartments! Communication with the Rental Office is crucial to finalize your rental agreement before move-in day.
Where there are more applicants than units available, a lottery will be held to determine the order of offers. Applicants are contacted by email in lottery number order, as apartments become available. If an applicant is interested in leasing an apartment, they must visit the Rental Office to sign a lease. Out of town applicants must contact the Rental Office in order to have a lease sent to them.
If the offer to lease is declined, or an applicant fails to respond by the deadline, the apartment will be offered the next applicant on the lottery list.
Acceptance of an offer is binding for 12 months and requires the completion of steps 2 & 3.
Sign your Lease Agreement. Signatures of all students named on the application on both copies of the lease.
Or, if your location makes it impossible to come to the rental office, we can proceed with the rental agreement online. You will need Internet and e-mail access, and a printer.
How to proceed with the rental agreement:
The Rental Clerk will e-mail you the cover page of your new Lease Agreement. The remaining body of the Lease Agreement is found below. Please read the document carefully.
Once you are ready to sign your Lease Agreement:
Your apartment offer is secured by a non-refundable first month's deposit, which is the amount indicated on the cover page of your lease. Please check out the Payment Options.
An e-mail will be sent to confirm that your deposit has been received and processed. Be sure to contact the office a few weeks before move-in to make arrangements to pick up your keys.
